INTRODUCTION OF OCAK VILLAGE

Ocak Village was founded with 12 households around Hıdır Abdal Sultan's islamic monastery, which has the right to “green turban winding”, which is known to the descendants of Hz. Muhammed in the 13TH century. According to information obtained from the Ottoman registers and sultan's edicts in various periods, Hıdır Abdal Sultan's descendants Hz. Hüseyin's son is Zeynel Abidin. Ocak Village was a foundation that served food in the Ottoman period. Therefore, it was exempted from any tax in that period.

Hıdır Abdal Sultan was one of the dervishes of Sultan Hacı Bektaş Veli. In observances “Düşkünler Ocağı” mentor, who has islamic monastery in the Üsküdar and Hıdır Abdal Sultan was a psychiatrist in accordance with that period his father Karaca Ahmet Sultan who is doctor taught some of special medical terms his son. He has gained a reputation for improving the nervous and mental illnesses which cannot be done by the medical doctors with his own suggestion method. This reputation has become even more monumental since the believe in God.
